These are exciting times for Rockwall schools, earmarked by new leadership,
rapid growth, and new facilities. The Board of Trustees and superintendent
provide a bold vision to guide the community's schools. The following list
highlights some of the District's accomplishments in recent years:

The District's Accountability Rating increased
from Acceptable to Recognized for performance during the 2005-2006
school year.

Six schools received the state's elite Exemplary
ranking.

Five schools earned Recognized status.

One school received the prestigious Mentor School
designation from the State of Texas.

One middle school was named Region 10 Middle
School of the Year.

One elementary school received the U.S. Department
of Education's highest honor, the Blue Ribbon School Award.

Students consistently outperform their peers in
the state and the nation on standardized achievement and college
entrance exams.

Many high school students win college scholarships
and National Merit Scholarship Awards each year.
