Welcome to Linda Lyon Elementary School! It is such a joy to be the first principal of Linda Lyon Elementary. Linda Lyon Elementary is situated in the beautiful community of Heath, Texas, in the high performing Rockwall Independent School District. We are a Pre-K-6th grade campus serving approximately 350 students.

Our vision includes creating a warm, joyful school environment in which we will cultivate a growth mindset in our students so that they will thrive and be excited about learning each day. We believe in partnering with our families and community to create a collaborative learning environment in which students have opportunities to create, communicate, solve problems, and think critically. Our relationships with our students, families and the community are the foundation of our culture of excellence and innovation.

A Note from our current Principal

It is truly a joy and honor to be the principal of Linda Lyon Elementary School. To be able to serve and lead this beautiful school of learners with the namesake of one of the greatest educators our community has ever had, is a distinct honor in my career. Linda Lyon Elementary School may have started as a small campus in the great Rockwall ISD; however, we have blossomed into the largest elementary campus in our district. We are so proud of the work being done at our school which brings new families to our community every day.

We began this story in 2017 and the chapters have continued to be added each year. Our purpose at Linda Lyon continues to be “What Starts Here Empowers Greatness.” We truly believe that the work, the experiences, the relationships, and the learning being done here is empowering our students to be and do all of the great things they were meant for. Our mission will continue as we seek ways to see our students thrive and be excited about their learning each day. We believe in providing students with a collaborative learning environment where they are provided opportunities to create, communicate, solve problems, and think critically. The foundation of our culture was built upon the relationships with our students, families and the community, and it’s in those partnerships where excellence and innovation are forged.
