• Battle of the Books


    3rd-6th graders have the opportunity to compete against teams from other schools answering questions based on 10 books that they have read throughout the year

     


    Maker Mornings


     Maker Mornings is a time for students to come to the library before school and think outside the box--to create, problem solve, and work together.  Permanent stations include legos and puzzles and then each month a new challenge is offered.  These challenges include origami, building challenges using cups, Popsicle sticks, and blocks, creative building using cardboard, tape, and foil, duck tape creations, circuitry, and coding.


    Birthday Book Club


    Make a donation to the Reinhardt Library in honor of your child's birthday.  They will be the first to check out the special book and then it will become part of the library's collection

    Bluebonnet Reading Challenge


    Our 3rd-6th Graders are challenged to read 5 of the 20 Texas Bluebonnet Books
    and vote for their favorite in January.



    Take Time to Read

    Our March reading challenge sponsored by Scottish Rite Hospital.  Students in grades K-6 are challenged to

    read little bit every day during the month of March.

    School Library Month Bookmark Contest


    Students have the opportunity to design bookmarks that will be used in the library 
    the following year


    6th Grade Lunch Bunch


    An opportunity for 6th graders to come talk books in the library on Fridays


    6th Grade Library Helpers


    An opportunity for 6th grades to serve in the library.  They apply at the beginning of the year and are chosen based on the application and teacher recommendation.  Throughout the year, they help get the library ready for the day, shelve books, help with special programs, and serve as student representatives by suggesting ways we can improve the library and the
    programs that are offered.
