Rockwall-Heath will play for its first 4A baseball State Championship.

The Hawks (35-9) advanced to Friday’s final game with a 6-3 semifinal victory Thursday over Region III-4A champion Montgomery.

Jake Thompson (12-1) pitched a seven-hit complete game, Russell Hughes hit a two-run double off the left field wall and Grayson Lewis had three hits and three runs.

RHHHS will play in the Championship Game scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Dell Diamond in Round Rock against the winner of Thursday night’s semifinal between Cleburne and Lake Travis. There would be a live video webcast at foxsportssouthwest.com.
