Grace Hartman Elementary’s Orff Ensemble presented a musical adaptation of “The Little Old Woman Who Wasn’t Afraid Of Anything” at a student assembly on October 31st. The Orff Ensemble is made up of fourth through sixth grade students and led by Music and Choir director Susan Boyd. Ensemble members provided instrumental accompaniment for the narration of the story, while other students served as actors and narrators. The Orff Ensemble consists of twenty six participants that practice after school each week. Students learn to play Orff instruments using the principles of German composer and educator, Carl Orff.
