Springer Elementary Sixth Graders Donate to the Rainbow Room

Sixth grade students at Springer Elementary in Mrs. Rogers’ science class collected items to donate to the Rainbow Room, established in 1999 to provide emergency assistance to children in critical situations.  The mission is to help families through traumatic times by providing additional services for the children that include school backpacks and supplies, clothing stipend, personal hygiene items, and Christmas gifts.

Since the opening of the Rainbow Room, hundreds of children and families served by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services have benefited through the generosity and support of the Rockwall community.  To enhance the self-esteem of these children, the Rainbow Room only accepts new items for distribution to the children and families.
