Williams MS Symphony Orchestra Wins Festival at the Eisemann Center

On Friday, May 8, 2015, the Williams Middle School Symphony Orchestra, under direction of Shari Allison and Steven Sauerwein, were selected as Grand Champions at the Lonestar Showcase of Music Festival at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, TX.   The students have been working since January to perfect their Full Orchestra program and both of the Directors are so proud of their amazing performance.  In addition to winning the competition, this Symphony Orchestra is also preparing a recording to submit to the Texas Music Educators Association Middle School Honor Orchestra Competition in June.  “What an exciting time for a very talented group of musicians!  Thank you so much to all of the students and their parents for their support of this incredible opportunity!” said Shari Allison.
Your next opportunity to hear the orchestra is when they join forces with the rest of the Williams Middle School Fine Arts Department to present Willy Wonka on May 28-30, 2015.  The production will be held at Williams Middle School.  Tickets will cost $8.00 for adults and $5 for students and children.  If you bring in 2 cans for food you will receive a $1.00 off of your admission.  All canned food donations will go to the local foodbank.
