Springer Sixth Grade SAGE Students Learn from Graduate Student

Sixth Grade SAGE students in Mrs. Kaup’s class worked with a Graduate student from University of Texas at Dallas, Alexander Averill, to understand CAD design with 3D Printing.  Students learned how to use Tinkercad and 123D Design to design their own objects, thus, supporting the Rockwall Education Foundation grant received in fall of 2014, enabling students to become real inventors and leading into Entrepreneurship, which according to Dr. Kenneth Berry, professor from the STEM department at UTD states, “This is what students need to be exposed to in order to prepare for their future.”
