Our focus at Quest Academy is to “meet students where they are”. The GAP program does just that. GAP stands for Gathering Academic Progress. This means that we understand all students are individuals with very specific educational needs and our goal is to ensure that each student’s individual needs are met. This will allow them the ability to reach their full potential. As parents, teachers, support staff and administrators, we encourage our students to become active learners. One of many students is Desiree Olson, who spoke to our new 2015-2016 GAP students at our orientation on August 19, 2015, to encourage and inspire new GAP students.
After successfully completing the GAP program, Desiree Olson had earned enough credits to not only catch up to her cohort group, but graduate early and enroll in college this fall. She went from being a possible dropout to being a college student. This is what GAP and Quest Academy are all about.
