In the spring of 2016, 2,500 of the Semifinalists will be named National Merit Scholars. These scholars and receive scholarships from The National Merit Scholarship Corporation who sponsors the qualifying test and awards. In addition, more than 3,900 college-sponsored scholarships are available to National Merit awardees.
