Nineteen Students Earn 2016 National Merit Commended Honor


Rockwall Independent School District is proud to announce that 19 students earned the National Merit Commended recognition, placing them in the top 5% of all high school students in the nation. Of the group, eight students are from Rockwall High School and 11 students are from Rockwall-Heath High School.

The students, listed below, entered the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2014 Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which served as an initial screen of program entrants. With a Selection Index of 202 or above, these high performers placed among the top 5% of the more than 1.5 million program entrants.
