Second Graders at Springer Elementary are learning about water safety at the Aquatics Center with the help from professional swim instructors and P.E. coach, Steve Kelly. Students took a swim assessment to test their current level, taught the understanding of listening to coaches and life guards for instructions, and learned how to save someone by handing them a flotation device, whether using a life saver or swim noodle, so that they understand that their own safety is ensured. These are imperative life skills that will stay with them for a lifetime. Thank you Rockwall ISD for providing this opportunity to all 2nd graders in the district!
