Rockwall ISD Celebrates National Counselors Month

National Counselors Month, hosted by the American School Counselor Association, honors school counselors by focusing attention to the contribution of counselors and their impact on students’ success in the classroom and out of the classroom.

School counselors are certified educators with a master’s degree in guidance and counseling. They help students prepare for life after high school while also helping students meet educational, career and personal goals while still in high school.

Counselors are able to help students realize and reach their full potential. Having a partnership with parents and teachers is another great way that counselors work hard to ensure success in a student.

Rockwall ISD’s counselors actively engage in making sure students are positively impacted and their lives are enhanced as a result of what they do and the work they put in. Be sure to let the counselor or counselors at your school know how much you appreciate what they do!
