Rockwall ISD Celebrates Read Across America Day

NEA Read Across America

The National Education Association’s Read Across America Day was created in May 1997 to get kids excited about reading. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids, teens and books. It’s the largest celebration of reading in the country and is celebrated on Dr. Suess’s birthday.

Rockwall ISD will join in celebrating student achievement and creating lifelong successful readers. In addition to taking part in Read Across America Day, Rockwall ISD is celebrating National School Breakfast week and ‘Green Eggs & Ham’ will be a breakfast item featured for the March 2 celebrations along with special giveaways at the elementary campuses.
