School Library Month: Spotlight on Stevenson

During School Library Month, Stevenson Library has been busy promoting reading and getting the students excited about literacy.  This month alone, some great things have been happening!

  • The Caldecott Challenge ended and the winners will be announced. This is a program to promote reading in the younger students.
  • There will be a book drive to encourage students to donate old books to benefit this summer’s Rockwall Reads program.
  • Maker Mondays have been in full effect and will finish up with circuitry challenges.
  • The Tournament of Authors (which took place in March, like March Madness) finished and winners were announced.
  • The date was set for Night at the Library, which celebrates students who have read all 20 Bluebonnet Books.
  • Ms. Cooper has been busy preparing her Battle of the Books team for the competition in May
  • The month will end with a bang with book fair!
