Rockwall-Heath Fundraising to Build Homes Across Latin America, Africa and Asia

The RHHS Student Council, under the leadership of sponsor and Student Leadership teacher Kaci Spampinato, rolled out a fundraising initiative they are implementing to the student body this week.

During four separate class meetings the week of Sept. 26, Student Council officers Dalton Tasset, Madison Severn, Payton Shelton, Alexis Harkrider, and Student Council President Caitlyn Lozano, presented the Children’s Relief International ‘Green Door Project’ to RHHS students. CRI is an organization that ministers to children and orphans in over eight countries across Latin America, Africa, and Asia, and this year STUCO’s chosen benefactor of a campus-wide fundraiser and service project!

The goal of the project is to raise as much money as possible to send to CRI to build ‘Green Door Homes’, which cost $2200 per home to build. In addition to collection cash and change at school, Student Council is selling t-shirts to benefit the project as well as hosting numerous community sponsored fundraising nights with all the proceeds going to the ‘Green Door Project.
