School’s Namesake

The school honors a highly respected Rockwall teacher, Nebbie Williams. From a one-room school house in 1928 until she retired in 1971, Nebbie Williams always exemplified the best qualities of a dedicated professional educator. She began her career teaching all grades and all subjects in a one-teacher county school, later became Rockwall High School’s science teacher, and ended her 43-year tenure as a fourth grade teacher in Rockwall Elementary School.
