Rockwall ISD Libraries to Host Comic Book Fest at Rockwall HS May 12

Rockwall ISD libraries to will be hosting Comic Book Fest at Rockwall HS May 12. Children between the ages of 7-11 (with a parent) are invited from 9-11 a.m. and children between the ages of 12-18 are invited from noon-3 p.m.

There will be cosplay, authors, illustrators, skype sessions, drawing sessions, board games, vendors, artists and a graphic novel room.

The popularity of graphic novels and comics has increased drastically in recent years. Rockwall ISD Libraries believe that encouraging readers means connecting them to content that is relevant, challenging, diverse and interesting.

This Comic Fest has been developed to engage students and encourage their love of reading while giving them a chance to interact with peers around the district with similar interests.
