Pullen Water Walk

In April,  The Last Well came to Pullen to educate the 6th graders on the world water crisis.  As a result of that visit, the 6th grade class wanted to do more to help.  Case Henson and Braeden Buffington took the lead and the Pullen Water Walk came to be.  On May, 30th students walked the Cain track during their specials classes to raise money and awareness of the clean water crisis.  The students carried jugs of water to simulate what Liberian students go through just to get water.   Pullen families were  asked to donate money in order for Pullen to purchase water filtration systems for Liberian families.   The goal of reaching $3000, the amount needed to drill a well, was achieved this week. This donation will provide a Liberian village with clean drinking water for a lifetime. This was a great learning opportunity for Pullen students. Students Braeden Buffington and Case Henson concurred that "We learned that we can make a difference, even if it is across the world."
