Rockwall HS Marching Band Places in Two Contests in One Day

On Saturday, October 28, the Rockwall High School Orange Wave Band competed in two marching contests, placing 2^nd overall at the US Bands Contest in Coppell and 8^th at the Duncanville Invitational Marching Contest (DMI).

The group marched first at Duncanville at 11 a.m., then loaded the buses to travel to Coppell. Following their performance at Coppell at 2:45 p.m., they returned to Duncanville to perform in the DMI finals at 7 p.m.

The DMI is widely considered one of the most competitive marching contests in north Texas, featuring several top 6A state contenders.

This is the first Rockwall Band to make finals at the DMI.
