Several Springer Elementary sixth-graders recently met award-winning author Joan Bauer during her presentation at the Rockwall County Library.
Bauer discussed her latest book, Soar, which is on the current Texas Bluebonnet Award list.
For the past two months, the sixth-grade book club has enjoyed reading the book and meeting each week during lunch.
