The Vex Vipers, Springer Elementary’s robotics team recently competed at the Vex Worlds Competition where they ranked 6th in their division.
Worlds is set up in 5 divisions with 80 teams in each division. The Vipers were in the Chandra division and finished among the top 20 teams which qualified them for the Chandra Division Finals.
The Vipers were awarded the Energy Award for their division. This award is given to the team that demonstrates extraordinary enthusiasm in each division.
“Vex Worlds is an amazing experience and I am so glad the Vex Vipers had the opportunity to represent Springer and Rockwall ISD,” said Crystal Shaklee, a parent volunteer for the Vex Vipers. “It was great to see them meet teams from all over the world and speak the language of robotics.”
