WHAT IS THE SPRINGER STAMPEDE FUN RUN?
Proceeds from the Run provides a significant portion of the Springer PTA budget. The PTA uses the funds to pay for the many programs that make Springer special. Some of the Programs we have brought to our students include the SkyDome Planetarium, Omega Man, bFit and other various activities throughout the year. We also bring in guest speakers such as the Fox 4 Weatherman, and we donate to the school including the Springer Science Lab and 5th grade Sky Ranch, supplies for the teachers, etc.
WHY DO WE HAVE TO FUNDRAISE?
Proceeds from the Run provides a significant portion of the Springer PTA budget. The PTA funds many programs that make Springer special such as the SkyDome and other various activities throughout the year.
AT THE RUN, WHAT DO WE DO FIRST?
Check-in and packet pick-up start at 7:30 a.m. in the gymnasium. Registration ends at 8:15 a.m. for the 1 Mile and 8:45 a.m. for the 5k. Please be on time to register or pick up your packet. Listen for start time announcements and the particular race you are signed up for. There will be Zumba warm-ups outside by the stage starting at 8:10 a.m.
WHAT IF I CAN’T COME TO THE RUN?
Although you will be missed, your family can still participate by making a monetary donation to the Springer PTA.
VOLUNTEERING?
It’s fun and very much appreciated! Volunteers are needed to get donations for the silent auction and raffle as well as put up Fun Run posters around town. We also need with registration, Carnival Games, and concessions on the day of the event. Don’t worry…you can still walk/run and volunteer. Many of the opportunities are available after the race!
