Immunizations

State law requires students in Texas schools to be immunized against certain vaccine-preventable diseases. Below is information on the required immunizations and providers where you can get them. Students without the proper documentation of the required immunizations or a valid exemption will not be allowed to attend school.

Immunization-request authorizes Rockwall ISD Health Services to provide a copy of immunization records. Any immunization records on file will be sent in the manner selected below. Former students who are 18 years or older must request their own immunization records. If you are requesting records during the school year for a current student, please contact their home campus.

**Attention Parents:  Changes have been made in the state’s Free Child Vaccination Program and many children will not be eligible for free vaccinations necessary for the beginning of school this fall. (who is eligible)

Exemptions

The State of Texas does allow for exemptions to the immunization requirements based on medical need or reasons of conscience, however both types of exemptions require proper documentation.
