Art’s A Blast
We have created a curriculum where the students work with quality materials (acrylic paint, canvases, mixed media and 3-D materials). We are working to teach them art skills and we’ll sneak in some art history, while they master the art elements and principles of design.
Looking for an upbeat, fun, learning experience for your little artist? They’ll enjoy the teachings of experienced art teachers and have finished masterpieces of their very own. For more information visit http://artsablast.com/ .
This wonderfully fun, fast paced program provides imaginative learning experiences by using new creative lessons that are proven to be both fun and highly developmental. Program culminates in a Spring performance on stage! Additional and evening classes are also available. Make your child a star today! Rockwall ISD is piloting beginner Spanish classes at selected Elementary campuses. Come join the fun of learning another language. Classes will begin the week of September 6, 2016 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Research reports that: “The power to learn a language is so great in the young child that it doesn’t seem to matter how many languages you seem to throw their way….They can learn as many spoken languages as you can allow them to hear systematically and regularly at the same time. Children just have this capacity. Their brain is ripe to do this…there doesn’t seem to be any detriment to….develop[ing] several languages at the same time” according to Dr. Susan Curtiss, UCLA Linguistics professor. (Curtain & Dahlberg 2004)
Session One: September 6 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Amy Parks, Hartman & Shannon – Tuesdays
Nebbie & Rochell – Fridays
