Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I cannot believe this, but this is my 24th year in education. I graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Special Education.  I taught PPCD for 6 years, dyslexia for 4 years, and I am currently in my 14^th year of teaching Resource at Rochell.

I have been married for 24 years, and we have 2 sons.  My oldest son graduated from Rockwall High School in 2021 and is in his first year at college.  He is attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and he is a pitcher for the baseball team.  We are excited to watch him live out his dream of playing baseball in college.  My youngest son is a 7^th grader at Williams Middle School.  He loves all sports and plays as many as he can, but basketball is his favorite!  We are so proud of both of our boys because they make learning and playing a priority in their life and work hard at everything they do.  My husband is pastor at FC church in Mesquite, TX, and he is my biggest supporter.   

Teaching has always been a huge passion of mine. I love watching kids learn new things and getting to be a part of their “lightbulb moments”.  I strive to do my best each day, and I encourage kids to do the same!  I expect progress, not perfection!
