Hello Hamm (Art) Heroes and parents! I am the visual arts teacher at Hamm Elementary.

This is my first year teaching in Texas, as I'm originally from the Kansas City area. My husband and I (along with our puppy, Maple) just moved here this past year. I'm so incredibly excited to be here in Rockwall and take part in opening a brand new school! 

As an artist and educator, I love celebrating my students' creativity and encouraging their artistic expression. I am passionate about cultivating students' creativity, resiliency, and problem-solving skills through the process of art-making. As Pablo Picasso once said, "Every child is an artist". This is something I believe in whole-heartedly and I strive to affirm the uniqueness that each of my students has to offer.
