Welcome to a new school year! I'm so excited to be teaching 5th grade Reading Language Arts at Pullen Elementary! This is my 24th year teaching and my 6th year teaching in Texas. Previously, I taught 6th grade RLA and Social Studies for 2 years here at Pullen. I also taught 5th grade ELAR for 3 years at a nearby district, as well as 3 years at a middle school in sunny San Diego, CA. The majority of my teaching career (15 years) was spent in NC, where I had the opportunity to teach grades 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
I am originally from Ohio and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from The Ohio State University in 1996. Go Buckeyes!!!! I also have my National Board Certification for Middle Childhood Generalist.
