• *GENERAL MUSIC: Kindergarten through 5th Grade students receive "General Music" classes once a week for 45 minutes. During these classes, students use Texas Music TEKS to learn correct ways to sing and play classroom instruments, to learn, read, create, and perform rhythms and melodies, to listen, analyze and discuss many kinds of music, how to move around and dance using gross and fine motor skills, and many other musical and creative things! Kinder-5th grades have a Music program within the school year.

*6TH GRADE CHOIR: is a chosen elective for students to cooperate and work together in a group to sing and perform. This group digs even deeper into music theory (rhythm-reading, sight-reading, navigating through music, etc.) Students meet 3 times a week for 45 minutes each time as a full group. Our choir usually has 2 or 3 performance per semester, including Heath Holiday in the park, Helping Hands, Music Fest and Fine Arts Night. This group also learns melody and harmony parts, and have opportunities for solos.

*PANTHER HONOR CHOIR: 4th and 5th grade students have an opportunity to be in the Panther Honor Choir. This group meets Tuesday mornings at 7:15am from September-April, and joins our 6th grade choir for most performances, including Heath Holiday in the park, Helping Hands, Music Fest and Fine Arts Night.

**All students are graded on how well they understand Music skills & concepts, their participation in the classroom (trying everything to the best of their ability,) and conduct.
