• The drop dates for Collin College for the 2023-2024 school year are provided to students on the Collin Academic Calendar: Collin College 23-24 Calendar

     

    Students are responsible for knowing all Collin College drop and withdraw deadlines. The college does not allow any student to drop or withdraw past the deadline dates. 

    Drop: Dropping a course from college means that the course will not show up on your college transcript. 

    Withdraw: Students must be aware that a W (withdraw) will appear on their college transcript and not on their high school transcript. The W is not calculated into college GPA. However, colleges and universities do have policies pertaining to Student Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) that may impact students receiving financial aid. Please check your intended institutions' SAP policy. Collin College’s policy

    If a student withdraws (W) by the deadline, they can either:

    • Take E2020 for $220 
    • ECON - Take a home campus course for spring semester - If Econ class is open & they have the release period to fill  
    • ENGL & HIST - Students will start spring semester at home campus no matter if failed or withdrew. Students have the option to try to pass average grade or start on E2020 for the fall semester.  English & US History they can pass average since year-long high school courses. 

     

    Spring 2024 DROP & WITHDRAW DATES

    Spring 2024: January 29 Drop Date (College class will not appear on college transcript)

    Spring 2024: March 28 Withdraw Date (W will appear on college transcript)

     

    STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE THE DROP/WITHDRAW ROCKWALL FORM. IT MUST BE SIGNED BY THE HOME CAMPUS COUNSELOR, AND SENT TO YASAMYNE.KORBAN@ROCKWALLISD.ORG. Then a link will be sent to complete a form for Collin College to request the drop/withdraw. Once the form is submitted, Collin College Dual Credit Office will send an email to student's Collin email to confirm approval. Students must respond to the email for the course to be officially dropped/withdrawn. 

    STUDENTS WITHDRAWING WILL NEED TO BE SET UP IN THE ONLINE E2020 PLATFORM FOR HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT.  The E2020 Platform will be set up by the home campus counselor after Ms. Korban confirms the student has withdrawn from Collin College. E2020 is a high school ONLY online credit program.
