Amanda Nelson has been involved in music since she was eight years old. She has followed her passion for music as a public school orchestra teacher in Illinois, as a private cello and string bass teacher, as a performing member of numerous professional ensembles, as a member of her church's worship team, and as the founder and director of her summer orchestra program, Garage Orchestra. Amanda, her husband, their three kids, two cats, three geckos, two frogs, one snake, and three Madagascar hissing cockroaches (yes... we have those as pets) moved to the Dallas area in December 2019. They are music lovers and animal lovers! Amanda joined the Rockwall ISD family at Cain Middle School, Pullen Elementary School, and Rochell Elementary School teaching orchestra in 2020!
