Mrs. Gerkens

I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in History and a minor in Business Administration. After graduating college, I moved to NYC where I worked for JPMorgan and met my husband, Hank. Several years after marrying we moved to Jacksonville, FL to be closer to family. We had our first son Henry V in 2007. Shortly thereafter, my Hank got a great job offer in Seattle, WA and we moved again. While living there, our little family seemed to explode. We welcomed Grace in 2008 and CJ in 2010. In 2016, our family made what we all feel is out last big move to Heath, Texas! In 2018, after being encouraged by some amazing APHE teachers, I started working on my teaching certificate. I am truly blessed to have an amazing second career after staying at home raising my kids for the last 14 years.

I love boating, listening to podcasts, travelling, spending time with family and friends, being outside, paddle boarding and most of all cheering on my three favorite athletes: Henry, Grace and CJ.
