Helping Hands provides financial assistance with utility bills (water, electricity and gas) and with shelter (rent, lease and mortgage). If a client needs assistance in paying to take the GED test, Helping Hands often funds the test. If a client needs assistance renewing a license such as a cosmetology license or commercial driver’s license, Helping Hands is often able to provide necessary funds. Again, interviewers consider each client’s situation and provide assistance that will enable clients to become more financially independent.
ADHD Group for Parents - The group is free and meets every first Thursday from 6:00-7:30 PM at the Rockwall County Library, 1215 E Yellow Jacket Ln, Rockwall, TX 75087. National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) – Rockwall county group / Crisis Line: 1-800-950-NAMI (6264) NAMI Rockwall has a recovery support group for adults living with mental illness regardless of their diagnosis. Every group is offered free of charge and meets weekly for 90 minutes. All are led by trained individuals who are also in recovery.

Parents may purchase drug/alcohol tests to administer at home. Prices range from $10-$18.
