Mrs. Kasey Butts

I am excited to be the ACE teacher at Hays Elementary for kindergarten-6th grade. I found my love for special education while working as an instructional assistant in the ACE classroom.  I was previously an elementary school guidance counselor and have taught 3rd grade and preschool. I am excited about developing relationships with my students, their parents, and other school staff so we can work together as a team to provide the best learning environment possible.  These relationships will be the foundation for the learning that will take place in the classroom. 

I live in Rockwall with my husband and three boys. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outdoors and gardening.  I also love animals and have accumulated quite a few over the years.  We have everything from cats and dogs to farm animals such as ducks, chickens and cows. It is going to be an amazing year!
