Ms. Jayla Melvin

Welcome to 3rd Grade!

My name is Jayla Melvin, and I am so excited about my first year of teaching! I graduated in May of 2022 from Oklahoma State University with my degree in Psychology. Go Pokes! I am stoked to share my love for all things reading and writing with my 3rd graders throughout this school year.

I moved here this summer from Oklahoma with my fiancé, Carson, but we are both originally from the Dallas area. I love to read, take walks, and try new foods! You can most likely find me at the library or a bookstore if I am not at school. I can't wait for a great year of learning as a Hays Husky!
