Instructional Technology and Library Media Services

  • The foremost goal of Rockwall ISD Instructional Technology and Media Services is to prepare students for their future by teaching them the skills and knowledge they need to learn and live in a global society.  Instructional Technology and Media Services work to support students and teachers when using technology and print to gather information and answer questions.

    In Rockwall ISD, our vision for student learning is to empower students to become lifelong learners and provide them with the skills to face future challenges resourcefully and creatively through collaboration, creativity and communication.

    The mission of Rockwall ISD Instructional Technology is to work collaboratively with staff and students to integrate technology.  Rockwall ISD Instructional Technology Specialists work closely with teachers and students at each campus to model technology integration, plan engaging and innovative lessons, and provide professional development and training.  

    The mission of the Rockwall ISD Library Program is to work collaboratively with staff and students to create life-long learners who use ideas and information to meet intellectual, curricular, and recreational needs.  Rockwall ISD Library Media Specialists provide a climate that fuels the spirit of inquiry, fosters problem solving and creativity, and increases student academic success.
