Leader In Me Student Recognition

  • Several schools in Rockwall ISD are Leader In Me schools.  A Leader In Me school is school that is implementing Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People with their students.  Recently the Leader In Me Symposium met in Dallas for an annual conference.  Several Rockwall ISD students were invited to participate.  Two students from Dobbs Elementary kicked off the symposium.  Jaxson Stuart and Gabby Mammen were invited to begin the conference and introduce the keynote speaker, Lonnie Moore.  Mr. Moore was the MC throughout the symposium and works with the Leader In Me organization to bring leadership to schools all over the world.  Cullins Elementary also had several students participate in the symposium.  Reece Wilson and Gia Glaseser were selected to be speakers and they each spoke about how the Leader In Me has impacted them.  Raygen Pruitt and Chelsea Titsworth participated in a student panel.  Educators from across the nation asked the students questions about the Leader In Me program and the impact it has had on them.  Raygen Pruitt said, “I got to tell about about the Leader In Me and how to make their schools better.  I would do it again if they asked me to!”  Cullins Elementary Sixth Grader Malachi Varghese introduced the keynote speaker, Brad Montague.  Brad Montague is a writer, director and comedian.  He is the creator of Kid President, the popular web series featured on Rainn Wilson’s Soulpancake Youtube channel, which has been viewed more than 16 million times.  We are very proud of all of our Rockwall ISD students!
