Dual Credit Program
Dual credit allows high school students to earn high school credit and college hours. Dual credit enrollment is offered to qualified students through Eastfield Community College and Collin College. Approval for dual credit must be signed by a counselor before the student can register for dual credit. The community colleges may charge tuition and fees for dual credit courses. Each course taken for dual credit may count for one of the four advanced measures in the Distinguished Achievement Program if a grade of B or higher is earned in the course. Rockwall ISD offers English 1301, English 1302, Government 2302, and Economics 2302 for dual credit through Collin College and Eastfield. An informational meeting is held during the spring semester prior to summer and fall enrollment.
