ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (E.S.O.L.) – is an English course for students whose primary language is not English.
COLLEGE READINESS AND STUDY SKILLS FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS -will apply study strategies and techniques for learning from a variety of texts. ELLs will accomplish many of the objectives through a wide reading based on their level of English language proficiency.
RESEARCH AND TECHNICAL WRITING FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS -is a composition course for English Language Learners (ELLs) to skillfully research topics while developing the skills necessary for writing persuasive and informative texts. Students will effectively apply the conventions of usage and the mechanics of written English.
PRACTICAL WRITING SKILLS FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS -will develop skills necessary for practical writing in English by using conventions and mechanics of written English, the appropriate and effective application of English grammar, the reading comprehension of informational text, and the effective use of vocabulary. Students completing this course will be able to analyze and evaluate their own writing as well as the writing of others.
STUDY SKILLS AND READING APPLICATIONS FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS -is a study skills course for students whose primary language is not English. Students in this course are given assistance with all subject areas.
