Mrs. Kristie Graves

This will be my fourth year in Rockwall ISD however this is my 22nd year in education.  I graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood with a minor in Special Education.  I also have my Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University.  I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist and Licensed Dyslexia Therapist in Texas.  I have been trained in DIP (Dyslexia Intervention Program) through Region 4, Neuhaus Basic Language Skills, Scientific Spelling, and Reading Readiness, along with Take Flight through the Shelton School. 

My family and I moved to the Dallas area in August 2016 from Houston. My husband and I have 3 kids, our oldest is a sophomore in college, our middle child is a 9th grader at the HS, and our youngest is a 7th grader in Middle School. 

My two oldest children are both dyslexic and based on my school experiences and characteristics I exhibit(ed), I am most likely dyslexic too.  I understand the struggles and challenges my students face and how difficult it can be as a parent to help our children navigate their disability.  Together we can help your child grow, find their passion, and feel successful.
