Recorder Information!!!

This is your headquarters for any and all Recorder information! We will be playing the one-piece Canto recorders - they come in a variety of colors. Recorders will available to purchase on a first-come, first-served basis, and will cost $4 each.

Recorder packages come with the following:

- Recorder
- Cloth or plastic case
- Cleaning Rod
- Fingering Chart
- Neck Strap

I HIGHLY recommend that each student own two recorders - one to leave at home and one to stay at school. That way, a student never needs to worry about transporting, breaking, or losing his/her instrument.

I will always have recorders available to borrow during Music Class, but it's always best to bring your own!  I will make sure any recorders students borrow are thoroughly sanitized!

I will give EVERY 4th and 5th Grade Music student a copy of my Recorder Song Packet. As it is 30+ pages long, containing over 30 songs (as well as tips and tricks, cleaning information, etc.), I will only give each student one!  Like the recorders, I will have a few packets that students may borrow.

Every now and then, I have special recorder contests!  These amazing 5^th Graders won the “Merrily We Roll Along” Speed Challenge.  They were all able to play the song at a blazingly fast 320 beats per minute and earned a Pizza Party Lunch as their prize!
