Curriculum and Courses

Each curriculum area and grade level has a designated framework for instruction at Rockwall ISD schools.  Rockwall’s curriculum is the State of Texas’ Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).  The TEKS are bundled into units of study for each core content subject area and grade level.  
 

Career and Technical Education courses are developed using programs of study that prepare students for a career, including state and nationally recognized industry based certifications or licensures. These programs of study align with three of the Texas Foundation with Endorsement graduation plans: Business & Industry, Public Service, and STEM (Science, Technology, Education & Mathematics). www.txcte.org
