Rockwall ISD Opens Community Nomination Period for the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Facility at GBCCA

The Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees’ Facility Naming Committee is now accepting nominations for the naming of the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Facility at the Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy. The nomination form is available below.

This form may be mailed or delivered to the Rockwall ISD Administration Building, Attn: Communications Department, PO Box 1050 Williams Street, Rockwall, Texas 75087. All forms should be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 5. 

Completed nomination forms should include biographical data to support the nomination, information about what significant contribution or representation the person has made to education in the local community, rationale for recommendation and a list of family members in the area if the person to be so honored is no longer living.

The Board of Trustees’ Facility Naming Committee will review the nominations in May and is expected to make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees at the May 19th monthly board meeting.
