Acceptable Use Policy
RULES FOR APPROPRIATE USE
-
Students are assigned access to online district resources and are responsible for keeping usernames and passwords secure. If a student feels an account has been compromised, it is the student’s responsibility to inform district staff.
-
Student accounts are to be used for identified educational purposes.
-
A student must have approval to possess personal telecommunications devices on campus such as laptops, tablets, or other portable computers. Any personal computers must use the Rockwall ISD’s Bring Your Own Device (BYOD-Restricted) network to connect to the Internet.
-
While the District will take reasonable steps to restrict access to inappropriate content through the Internet filtering system, it is not possible to block all inappropriate content. It will be the student’s responsibility to search appropriately and report any inappropriate content to district staff.
