Sra. Amber Panter
My name is Amber Panter and this is my 11th year teaching Spanish and third year teaching PALs. I have been a teacher, Cheerleading coach, UIL spelling coach, bus driver, and ACT tutor. This is my fourth year teaching at ROCKWALL ISD and I hope to make your child's year a great one! I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where I majored in Government and English. As well, I played on the University Women's Ultimate Frisbee Team for 4 years. I grew up in east Texas and married my high school sweetheart. We have two young boys (3- Jonah and 5 - Sawyer). They like trying to learn Spanish too!

Curriculum: Spanish I is a high school credit class that is available to 8th graders. This course moves at a faster pace than regular middle school classes and is graded by the RISD high school grading policy. Every six weeks, students are assessed with at least these four major components: speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Students must demonstrate what they have learned throughout the six weeks with these four communication modes. Spanish students at UMS will be doing the exact same activities that Spanish students are doing at RHS and RHHS. We go at the same pace with the same rigor and grading rubrics. Please view lesson plan tab for all current lessons, assignments, and activities.
