Hello everyone, my name is Andrew Mertens.  I will be your Business Information Management (BIM), and Concepts of Engineering teacher this year.  I am excited about what we will learn and the connections we will make together this year.

I am a graduate of Maryville University St. Louis and I have been a teacher for 16 years.  Along with teaching I have been coaching the Lady Jackets JV soccer team at Rockwall high school for 13 years.  I love teaching and coaching because I get to watch students learn and grow with my two favorite subjects, technology and soccer.

Outside of school I am married with two rambunctious boys.  In my spare time I am either training for my next triathlon or restoring vintage bicycles.

I am very excited to get to know more about you this year and I welcome you to my class.
