Welcome! Anatomy & physiology is a course that will enable students to develop an understanding of the relationships between the structures and functions of the human body. Students will also learn the mechanisms for maintaining homeostasis within the human body. This course will involve laboratory activities, projects, dissections, textbook material, models, diagrams, clinical studies, and Canvas functions. Lectures and activities will emphasize topics related to human anatomy and physiology. Students will be required to participate in lectures and all activities, online and in-person. Class time will be used to reinforce concepts through discussion, labs, and research. Tests will include questions (Multiple Choice, Matching, Defining, Labeling, and Short Answer) which will come from materials, discussions or assignments both in class and through Canvas. This class is intended to give students a foundation in Health Sciences to help prepare them for college Anatomy & Physiology and to educate them about health in general.  

This is my fourth year teaching Anatomy & Physiology at Rockwall High School and I look forward to the teaching profession as much as you look forward to learning about the human body. I also serve as the Assistant Wrestling coach for the YellowJackets. I am a graduate of the University of Missouri, where I studied Health Sciences and earned my Degree in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology. I completed my Teaching Certification in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, and Physical Education.
