Josh Coats graduated from East Central University with a degree in Music, Vocal Teacher Certification. Mr. Coats taught 5 years in Oklahoma, and this is his 3rd year in Texas, making this his 8th year as an educator. He has served as musical director for “Footloose!”, “Sound of Music”, “Annie!”, “Addams Family: School Edition”, "Matilda!", and "Beauty and the Beast."  He has prepared numerous choirs for Concert and Sight Reading contests in Oklahoma, where the choirs earned Superior ratings.  His choirs at Heath have also earned Sweepstakes awards. This year Mr. Coats is overseeing Beyond, Heath's select contemporary treble a cappella choir. He is looking forward to a wonderful year at Heath!
