I am very excited for the upcoming 2023-24 school year! I can't wait to get to know all my students and their families. My goal is to create a community within the classroom where all kids feel welcome, safe, and valued. I hope to inspire students and foster a love for reading, writing, and learning. 

This will be my second year teaching at Doris Cullins-Lake Pointe Elementary School. I live locally and absolutely love our community. There is nowhere I'd rather raise my family and send my kids to school than within Rockwall ISD. 

I have two sons who stay busy with swim team, wrestling, baseball, and football throughout the year. My husband and I have been married for nine years and love to travel abroad each summer. We also have an English bulldog named Ellie May and a bengal cat named Blitz who complete our family. 

I am passionate about working with students, being their advocate, and encouraging them in their studies. Teaching is a second career path for me. Formerly, I did contract work as a technical writer and librarian for the Navy. I love supporting our soldiers, but ultimately, I belong in the classroom.
