The primary mission of the Maintenance Department is to serve the needs of faculty, students, and staff by maintaining and improving the physical environment and facilities of Rockwall ISD.
FACILITIES PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTION -The Facilities Planning and Construction Department supports the district by providing an engaging environment for both internal and external stakeholders to actively participate in facility planning and design. The Department's responsibilities include but are not limited to analyzing current and future facility needs, managing activities through the various project milestones, and ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal codes and regulations.
FACILITY RESERVATIONS - The Facility Reservations Department supports the district by coordinating a variety of events for students and staff as well as community members. These events serve to enhance the educational experience for our students and community.
ENERGY MANAGEMENT - The Energy Management Department supports student learning by helping to reduce energy consumption, thus costs, for the district. The program's success is directly attributable to the efforts of all Rockwall ISD students and staff as they become more energy aware and conservation-minded.
SAFETY SECURITY - The Safety Security Department equips our district with state of the art Camera Surveillance, Access Control, Fire, and Burglar Alarm systems. All campuses have monitored Fire and Burglar systems. Uniformed School Resource Officers (SRO) are assigned to all secondary campuses. We also have SRO’s that visit our Elementary campuses daily. Each school uses the RAPTOR Visitor Management System to ensure campus security. A copy of the District’s Emergency Procedures Manual and individual security plans are also available on each campus. Rockwall ISD strives to keep our campuses safe to enable students the best environment for learning.
